About Us
Auscape International is among the world's foremost sources of rights-managed natural history photography with a collection comprising almost 250,000 images. As a leading provider of pictures to publishers, advertisers, magazines and newspapers, Auscape has developed a worldwide reputation as a premier natural history stock image library specialising in wildlife and landscapes. In addition to this, we hold the Australian rights to the BIOS collection of images of the natural world and to the BSIP library of health, medical and scientific images. All our photographs have been extensively and scientifically catalogued to ensure that we can provide accurate and detailed caption information to our clients and are available as digital files. We can also assist clients with research to match pictures to their needs; contact us for a licensing quote. Please be aware that Auscape International is NOT a source of royalty-free images.
Our History
Auscape International was founded by Jean-Paul Ferrero, a French photographer who moved to Australia in 1982 and established the agency in 1985. His immense and world-renowned body of work forms the basis of the Auscape collection that has now grown to include the work of almost 200 of the world's foremost nature photographers.
